A pastebin or text storage site [1] [2] [3] is a type of online content-hosting service where users can store plain text (e.g. source code snippets for code review via Internet Relay Chat (IRC)). The most famous pastebin is the eponymous pastebin.com .
Note that the source code on Github is the legacy code from circa 2002-2010, and may differ significantly from pastebin's currently implemented code. Before the site was sold, a forked copy of the legacy code called PASTE was created and is still under active development and officially endorsed by Paul.
