The Perodua Axia is a city car produced by Malaysian automobile manufacturer Perodua.It was launched on 15 September 2014 as the successor to the Viva. [1] The car takes over the title of being the most affordable car in Malaysia from the Viva, and the best-selling car in Malaysia for three consecutive years, between 2015 until 2017. [2]

Perodua officially launched the new corporate logo on 24 August 1998 when they launched Malaysia's first sport utility vehicle, the Perodua Kembara. The new logo maintains the 'P' and '2' and the colours of the old, squarish logo, but has been stylised further to become elliptical, which is more fluid and dynamic.

It is a modified and refined version of the 1KR-DE2 engine from the Perodua Axia. The new 1KR-VE engine produces 68 PS (50 kW; 67 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 91 N⋅m (67 lb⋅ft) at 4,400 rpm, offering a mild 1 hp (0.75 kW) and 1 N⋅m (0.74 lb⋅ft) increase over the Axia's 1KR-DE2 plant.

The engines provided for the Myvi were modified by Perodua to improve fuel efficiency and acquire the Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) standard as with the Axia and Bezza. Two engines are available: 1NR-VE engine with a displacement of 1,329 cc (1.3 litre) that produces 70 kW(95 ps; 94 hp) at 6000 rpm and 121 Nm(89 lb⋅ft; 12.3 kgf.m) at 4000 rpm.
