iPhone call history shared between devices after iOS 17 Update. on my primary device I have iCloud -> contacts turned off, also handoff is turned off on both devices. Before iOS 17.0, each of my 2 devices has its private call log & contacts. After iOS 17.0 on both devices, I started to see the call history of both devices on my primary device.

To prevent voicemails from merging, follow these steps: Open Settings on your iPhone. Tap on your Apple ID at the top. Scroll down and select iCloud. Unfortunately, it is not possible to deactivate the call log from 3rd party apps. FB Messenger, WhatsApp, Teams and the others use (from what I've heard) Apple's CallKit. This functionality is redundant as already whatsapp has its own call log plus shown in regular phone app call log. The inconvenience rages high when I have to delete whatsapp call logs at two places separately. I tried contacting Apple support multiple times in vain. I will be happy to know if anyone having a resolution for this.
