Guv's Smoke and Gunpowder Mod: Glorious. Reloading Animations: Honestly, it's ridiculous that some units still don't have a reloading animation. It's the 3rd game. Patch 2.2 Empire Politics Fix: There's a bug that affects a lot of Empire players where the confederation pop-up won't trigger at all.

Better Camera Mod - Lets you zoom in closer and further away in battles. Alternative unit cards - awesome new Unit card designs, but just for new factions rn. Legendary lore - adds little text events for captured locations, new units, lore events etc. that tell you stuff about the lore.
Also be prepared the game might just shit itself and desync anyway. I can't speak for every mod, but yes you can play a multiplayer with at least some mods. Some may not work, but it is possible. It worked! We have 12 mods downloaded and haven’t crashed at all, currently turn 15. Same deal as before.
