  2. Eastman Guitars - Are they really that good? - The Gear Page

    www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/eastman-guitars-are-they-really...

3,408. Oct 31, 2016. #1. I've seen a lot of post on Eastman guitars, most which have been positive. But I am really curious how they stack up to models like the ES-335 or ES-175's in particular. I'm interested in overall construction, necks, pickups, binding, nut quality etc. A comparison on these on a 1-10 scale would be great.

  3. Eastman SB59/v 2022 - Mini review - The Gear Page

That second guitar really is the best bang-for-your-buck guitar I've ever owned. It was about $1250-1500 range used, weighs in at about 7.2-7.3 lbs, has a round C, 59 thickness profile, and a nice flame top. All the other Eastmans I've had were really great, but this one edges the rest out somehow.

  4. Truetone vs. Nitro Finish - Eastman Guitar Fans

    www.eastmanguitarfans.com/Thread-Truetone-vs-Nitro-Finish

From my understanding, if your guitar was made in 2020 it is probably nitro. If it was made in early 2021, it could be either. And if it was made in late 2021 or after it is probably Truetone finish. I might be a little off. TomC. 5. Epiphone IBG ES-335 or Eastman T386? What's the way to go?

    www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/epiphone-ibg-es-335-or-eastman-t...

Last year I bought a fully-hollow Ibanez with the 335 double-cutaway styling and it's a fantastic guitar. It has a nice, chunky rounded-C neck, great fit & finish, and I really like the pickups - and I'm not a humbucker fan, but these are nice. It's the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AMH90, $699. My first Ibanez, and I'm a fan.

  6. Best Eastman You Have Ever Played!? - Eastman Guitar Fans

Up until today, I have owned four Eastman guitars, E8OM, E40OM-SB, E10D-TC and E20D-TC. During the pandemic our local music shop had trouble getting any Eastman guitars in but a month or so ago he finally got a shipment, most of which were PCH series. For laminate guitars the PCH series sound pretty danged nice, a level or two above Yamaha.

  8. Truss Rod Adjustment on Eastmans - Eastman Guitar Fans

Truss Rod Adjustment on Eastmans. Still loving my three new Eastmans and have noticed something I've never experienced with any other guitar. It's the lack of tension required in the truss rod to straighten the neck. In fact I actually have a little reverse tension in the truss rod to create a little relief in the neck of the E20D.

I have an Eastman t386 and a Gibson Les Paul special tribute p90. I love both guitars and know how different they are. That said, the Eastman blows the Gibson out of the water in terms of fit and finish. I know my Eastman is a keeper. The Gibson will remain in the stable until I find something better to replace it.

  11. About What Year Did Eastman Guitars Improve? - The Gear Page

    www.thegearpage.net/.../about-what-year-did-eastman-guitars-improve.2262657

I was an early buyer of an Eastman archtop. I bought one in 2004, and it was nothing but problems. Within the first year it needed a neck reset (covered by warranty). Then the metal failed in the tailpiece and I had to replace it twice. The electronics went bad and I had to replace all the wiring. When the guitar was "on" it sounded and played ...
