Valley View Local School District is a school district in Montgomery County, Ohio, serving German Township which contains Germantown, Ohio. In addition, it serves the majority of Jackson Township, including Farmersville, Ohio. The district was formed in 1968, as the result of the consolidation of Germantown High School and Farmersville High School.
In 1883, a larger one-room schoolhouse was built closer to Clopper Road. Another, newer school was constructed in 1910, on what is now the site of Germantown Elementary School. [16] This school had four rooms, with two downstairs and two upstairs, with each room housing two grade levels.
