Mulenga's interest in music is said to have started in 2009 while he was a student at Chibombo High School. [2] When he was 18, he and his family moved to Kabwe; there, he recorded his first single 'Njikata Kuboko' in 2016. In 2018, he featured Macky 2 on a hit single titled 'Finally' which eventually became his signature song. [3]
In March 2013, Tasila stepped back into the spotlight; releasing the hit single Ready for Love. It received generous airplay and became a top 10 song on the local music charts. 2014 saw the release of Tasila’s 10 track album called Malizu which won the prestigious Zambian Music Awards 2015 for Best Traditional Music album.
It features Salma Doldia, a female Zambian artist. The album was produced by Digital X, a Lusaka-based studio. The "Kapilipili" music video received air play on MTVbase and channel-O. In 2014 he released a song titled "Telemundo loving" which aired on channel O and all local TV stations in Zambia. Some of his music videos are available on YouTube
Xaven began her music career at a young age. However, she became a noticeable figure in Zambian music after releasing a single title “Ndine woloweshe” and “Adedesha” among others, which propelled her to the Zambian Female artist of the year award. She is managed by Jerahyo alongside Chanda Na Kay. [4] [5]
