Green Street is a road in the London Borough of Newham, East London, which forms much of the boundary between East and West Ham. Green Street is best known for the former Boleyn Ground , home to West Ham United [ 1 ] from 1904 to 2016, and for its wide range of shops and market outlets.
The Boleyn Tavern is a Grade II listed public house in East Ham, East London, England at the junction of Barking Road and Green Street. [1] It was built in 1899–1900, with the entrance consoles bearing a 1900 date. [1] The Tavern was frequented by West Ham United F.C. supporters due to its proximity to West Ham's ground, the Boleyn Ground.
The street market originated in Green Street at the boundary between East Ham and West Ham in the late Victorian era when the new suburb of East Ham began to be developed. Originally the stall holders were English Cockney , Gypsy communities and Jewish traders from Whitechapel and the East End , selling clothing and vegetables.
Upton Park is an area of the East London borough of Newham, centred on Green Street which is the boundary between West Ham and East Ham. West Ham United Football Club formerly played at the Boleyn Ground, commonly known as Upton Park. The term 'Upton Park' first applied to a housing estate developed to the east of West Ham Park in the 1880s. [1]

Green Street House, usually known as Boleyn Castle, was a stately home in Upton Park in the modern London Borough of Newham, East London.. The alternative name derives from the local legend linking the house with Anne Boleyn and from its imposing appearance, notably the castle-like structure called Anne Boleyn’s Tower which lay immediately adjacent to Green Street.
