In 1927 the Davy Crockett Council was created and eventually merged with the Nashville Area Council. The Nashville Area Council was renamed the Middle Tennessee Council in 1949. [1] [2] In 1921, the Middle Tennessee Council's first summer camp was held at the original Boxwell Reservation, near Linton and is now lost to history.

The 13th district is located in Middle Tennessee and consists of a western strip of Rutherford County and includes portions of the cities of Murfreesboro, Smyrna, La Vergne, and Eagleville. Incumbent Republican Robert Stevens has represented the district since 2023.
