Queen Margaret University Edinburgh is a public university located wholly within the county of East Lothian on the outskirts of Musselburgh, Scotland. [2] [3] [4] It is named after the Scottish Queen Saint Margaret (1045–1093). The university can trace its origins to The Edinburgh School of Cookery and Domestic Economy founded in 1875.

The Queen Margaret Union (QMU) is one of two students' unions at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Founded in 1890, it caters to the social and cultural needs of its members by providing a range of services including volunteering opportunities, entertainment, catering, bars and games.
Jan Dewing (born c. 1961 – died 2022) was a British nurse who was the Sue Pembrey Professor of Nursing at Queen Margaret University.She was the first nursing named chair at the university and she led their Person-centred Practice Research and it's graduate research school.

Queen Margaret University RFC is a rugby union club based in Musselburgh, Scotland. The club operates a men's team [ 1 ] and a women's team. [ 2 ] Both currently play in the university leagues.
