Live in San Diego [1] (alternatively known as Live in San Diego with special guest JJ Cale) [2] is the thirteenth live album (and a live DVD) by British rock musician Eric Clapton. It was released through Reprise Records as a live album on 30 September 2016 [ 3 ] and as a 2-hour live DVD on 10 March 2017.

Escondido is a city in San Diego County near Cale's home at the time located in the small, unincorporated town of Valley Center, California. Eric Clapton owned a mansion in Escondido in the 1980s and early '90s. The road referenced in the album's title is named Valley Center Road. It runs from Valley Center to Escondido.
The album was produced by Glyn Johns, who had been producer on Clapton's successful albums Slowhand (1977) [7] and Backless (1978). Live in San Diego is a DVD of a concert by the band Switchfoot.It was released in 2004, between the band's albums The Beautiful Letdown and Nothing Is Sound.With the exception of "Learning to Breathe", all of the songs performed at this concert were from their 2003 double-platinum selling album The Beautiful Letdown.
