Warangal (pronunciation ⓘ) is a city in the Indian state of Telangana and the district headquarters of Warangal district. It is the second largest city in Telangana with a population of 811,844 per 2011 Census of India , [ 3 ] [ 4 ] and spreading over an 406 km 2 (157 sq mi). [ 1 ]
Warangal district (formerly Warangal Rural district) is a district in the Indian state of Telangana. The district shares boundaries with Mahabubabad, Jangaon, Hanamkonda, Mulugu and Bhupalpally districts. As of June 2021, Hanamkonda tentatively serves as the district headquarters of both Hanamkonda and Warangal districts.
It is one among 12 constituencies in Warangal district. It is part of Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency, and is reserved for members of the Scheduled Tribes. [1] Dr. Murali Naik of Indian National Congress is representing the constituency.
