Arcane Trickster Magic Item Choices. I'm currently playing an Arcane Trickster Rogue in a campaign and I'm wanting to plan ahead for magic items. I plan on using a ranged weapon (Hand Crossbow/Longbow) and using Cunning Action to Hide to take advantage of Elven Accuracy from level 4+. I obviously want a Cloak of Elvenkind, but that leaves two ...
Re: Non-Attunement Magic Items: which one is your favorite? Periapt of Proof Against Poison: Poison can really mess you up. This will let you laugh at the poison spikes in traps and the poison arrows from that damned enemy rogue who keeps kiting you. Sentinel Shield: you miss out on the AC bonus of a +X shield but you still get the normal +2 AC ...
My prices: 50,150,350,850,1800,4500, 7400, 14000, 25000. I got these numbers by averaging 3.X and 5e's magic items prices and then dividing by 2 for consumables. I do like your higher end numbers, but I think your lower end numbers are too low. I'd also suggest putting them in their own table for easier comprehension.
Good:Cloak of Protection (uncommon, +1 to AC/saves, requires attunement) - defensive bonus Shield +1 (uncommon, no attunement needed) - better meat shields Weapon +1 (uncommon, no attunement needed) - kill monsters more efficiently Bag of Holding (uncommon, no attunement needed) - haul treasure and/or skeleton armies Situationally good but ...
Table B only generates uncommon items. Table C has a 96% chance of generating a rare item and a 4% chance of generating an uncommon item. Table D has a 99% chance of generating a very rare item, and a 1% chance of generating a rare item. Table E has a 50-50 chance of generating either a very rare or a legendary item.
17. Chair of Steadiness: This chair can be moved, but cannot be tipped over by anything less than a DC 35 Strength check. 18. Cloak of Dramatic Billowing: Makes anyone look heroic (optional +1 charm), but a downright liability when you're trying to sneak up on people.
Doing the best imitation of myself. Aug 1, 2023. #1. My DM is going to restart our Shackled City campaign in 5e. We are going to be starting at level 12 (where our old group was). I'm playing a Goblin Bladesinger wizard, level 12 with no multiclassing. The DM is letting us start with two Uncommon magic items and I'd love to get some suggestions.
Jul 2016. Help me pick magic items for my Paladin. Lv6 Treachery Paladin, with a custom spell list to provide a little more AoE. Likely taking the Defense fighting style, since I'll be going with a 2H weapon and the GWM feat to take advantage of Treachery's lv7 Cull The Herd ability. 1 Rare item 1 Uncommon item Now, I had a few ideas, with a ...
Re: A good uncommon item for a warlock. If you're a Bladelock, snag the Gauntlets of Ogre Power. If not, a good standby item for ANYONE is the Cloak of Protection. +1 AC and +1 to all saves. I know its not a very exciting item, but its solid. 2017-02-27,06:26 PM (ISO 8601)
Re: Uncommon magic item that best helps a cleric. Staff of the Python can be really effective. It is a CR 2 monster ( 60 hp, +6 to hit, 2d8 +4 dam) and acts on its own initiative and can constrict and restrain. I gave a sentient one to a trickery cleric and its like they have a fifth party member.
