Yes. And to answer the other question, when it's happened before, I could not even turn out of my neighborhood. The signs went up today but it's almost as if they are concealing what's going to happen--there's a tiny line on the sign with the group name and that's it.

Op here. Long ago, when we moved too this area, I decided that if the situation happened and I had to make a choice I was going to take out the cyclist rather than have a head-on collision.
If they could put up direction signs, they could put up some warning signs a week or two in advance.
