Crystal Peak is a high mountain summit in the Tenmile Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 13,859-foot (4,224 m) thirteener is in White River National Forest , 5.9 miles (9.5 km) southwest ( bearing 220°) of the Town of Breckenridge in Summit County , Colorado , United States .
There are more than a dozen peaks in the range. Peak 1 is the northernmost peak. The sub-peaks of Mt. Victoria and Mt. Royal are located north of Peak 1. Tenmile Peak, south of Peak 1, is also known as Peak 2. Quandary Peak is the southernmost peak and highest point in the Range, elevation 14,271 feet. [2] [3]

The mountain first opened on December 16, 1961, [1] consisting of trails on Peak 8 serviced currently by the Colorado SuperChair. The main lift was a Heron double chairlift, Lift 1, which had a midway unloading station. Lift 1 ran from the base area up to a point slightly west of the top of the current Colorado SuperChair.
The line was a spur to Breckenridge (eventually extended to Leadville) off the company's main line from Denver through South Park.
