MidCity District (formerly known as MidCity Huntsville for a brief period of time) is a mixed-use retail development center currently being built in Huntsville, Alabama on the corner of University Drive and Research Park Boulevard (SR-255) on the land formerly used for Madison Square Mall.
In 1978, the Colonial Theatre made a cameo appearance in the movie, Grease, when the trailer of The Blob was shown in the drive-in movie scene. [ 6 ] "Blobfest" is an annual 3-day event each summer, started in 2000, held in downtown Phoenixville that features multiple screenings of The Blob and other horror films.
Quintard Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in Oxford, Alabama, United States.Opened in 1970 and expanded in 2000, it has 720,000 square feet (67,000 m 2) of retail space.
Sears closed in 2016. [6] At Home opened in the former Sears in 2017. [7] The mall's movie theater closed in March 2013, but reopened sometime in 2021 and continues to show movies to this day. Later that same year, a Chuck E. Cheese's opened across from Belk in the mall. [8] [9]

The former Rogers store was partially demolished and replaced with a Carmike Cinemas movie theater in November 2012, while the former Castner Knott partially became Electronic Express in late 2014 and Bed Bath & Beyond in 2015.
