Log Hollow Falls (also known as Falls in Log Hollow, or the Falls on Log Hollow Creek) is a waterfall in the Pisgah National Forest, Transylvania County, North Carolina. [1] It's a steep cascade with a couple of sections of free falling water.
The falls are open to the public and are accessible on the side of U.S. Highway 276, approximately 5.6 miles north of the intersection of 276, U.S. Highway 64, and NC Highway 280 in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. The falls are just under 70' tall from top to bottom, with the main falls at 60'.
The Pisgah National Forest was established in 1916, one of the first national forests in the eastern United States. The new preserve included approximately 86,700 acres (35,100 ha) that had been part of the Biltmore Estate, but were sold to the federal government in 1914 by Edith Vanderbilt.
