On December 28, 2024, a De Havilland Dash 8-400, registered as C-GPNA, operating for Air Canada Express as Flight 2259, from St. John's International Airport to Halifax Stanfield International Airport, experienced a gear collapse on the number 1 engine side while landing on runway 23.
