Monkey D. Luffy (/ ˈ l uː f i / LOO-fee) (Japanese: モンキー・D・ルフィ, Hepburn: Monkī Dī Rufi, [ɾɯꜜɸiː]), also known as "Straw Hat" Luffy, [n 2] is a fictional character and the protagonist in the Japanese manga series One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda.
Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ゾロ, Roronoa Zoro, spelled as "Roronoa Zolo" in some English adaptations), also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro (海賊狩りのゾロ, Kaizoku-Gari no Zoro), is a fictional character created by Japanese manga artist Eiichiro Oda who appears in the manga series and media franchise One Piece.
Luffy attempt to fight back using Armament Haki, but his punches go right though him, much to Luffy's confusion, as Trebol question Luffy's assumption of his Devil Fruit being a Logia. Law tells Luffy that fighting Trebol is futile, while revealing Trebol's slime is in fact mucus, before he begins to insult Trebol and the other executives.
Luffy explains that he ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, therefore he has the properties of rubber. Coby, inspired by Luffy, stands up for himself when Alvida confronts them. Luffy uses his Gum-Gum Pistol technique on Alvida, defeating and flying to the sea. Luffy and Coby sail away in a "borrowed" boat from Alvida's crew.
Luffy and Zoro start fighting the dragon, which can speak and breathe fire. Luffy rockets up to the dragon's back, discovering a pair of legs. Luffy gets the dragon to chew its own wing, making it fall. Zoro takes the opportunity to jump into the air with Usopp's trampoline and decapitates the dragon.
