Philip Francis Berrigan SSJ (October 5, 1923 – December 6, 2002) was an American peace activist and Catholic priest [1] [2] [3] with the Josephites. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] He engaged in nonviolent, civil disobedience in the cause of peace and nuclear disarmament and was often arrested.
The Berrigan Football Club's first recorded match was against Cobram, at Cobram in 1891 [2] and initially competed in the Murray Border Football Association in 1895 [3] and 1896, then competed in the Southern Riverina Football Association (SRFA) from 1905 to 1930.
