The Hemet Maze Stone is a prehistoric petroglyph.It is just outside Hemet, in Reinhardt Canyon, within the Lakeview Mountains, in Riverside County, California.On April 16, 1956, Mr. and Mrs. Rodger E. Miller donated the stone, along with 5.75 acres (23,300 m 2) of associated land, to Riverside County. [1]

Reinhardt Canyon is located in the Lakeview Mountains, just west of Hemet in Riverside County, California. [1] The prehistoric petroglyph known as the Hemet Maze Stone, California Historical Landmark No. 557, is located in the canyon.
The crossing occurred between what is now the cities of Riverside, on the southwest side of the river, and Jurupa Valley. Reinhardt Canyon, on the easterly side of the range, is the home of the prehistoric petroglyph known as the Hemet Maze Stone (California Historical Landmark No. 557).
The Hemet Maze Stone, 2012. This had long been the territory of the indigenous Soboba people and Cahuilla tribe prior to Spanish colonization. During the early 19th century, Mission San Luis Rey used the land for cattle ranching. They named the area with the settler name Rancho San Jacinto.
