I agree-I think most people are looking for an almond and vanilla scented white cake that is dense but moist when requesting a "wedding" cake.

All I do is take my white/yellow cake recipe and add cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves to it. Maybe 1 teaspoon on cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon of cloves. Go easy on the cloves!
