for lan use, make sure. 1. windows network is set to private not public. 2. any software vpn is disabled. 3. if using wifi, make sure routers wifi isolation is disabled. 4. steam -> settings -> remote play -> allow direct connection = my/auto/all not disabled. 5. host and client are connecting to the same router and can ping client ip from host.

just so others know i was able to get remote play working tn, have steam controller input enabled, dont know if that matters, but my buddy was only able to use controller as the invited party while i was able to use either controller or kbm

The remote play option doesn't seem to be appearing. yeah, i'm quite dissapointed with the lack of remote play, i been playing with friends via parsec. Came to the forums looking for this, so thanks. I was hoping to buy this to play with my GF and remote play with her Steam Deck but I guess it's not happening. yeah, its a shame.
