The Audi allroad quattro began in 1999 as a semi-offroad version of the Audi A6 Avant (station wagon). Since 2009, Audi has also offered the "Audi A4 allroad quattro", based on the mainstream Audi A4 Avant (wagon). Audi accordingly retitled subsequent generations of the larger allroad, as released in 2006 and 2012, as "Audi A6 allroad quattro".

Audi announced the C6 series allroad in 2005 and released it the following year. This model was called the Audi A6 allroad quattro (unlike the previous version, the Audi allroad quattro, with no reference to the A6 nomenclature). The Audi A6 allroad quattro again featured adaptive air suspension and quattro permanent four-wheel drive system.
The A4 Allroad Quattro is based upon the Avant but features a wider track, increased ground clearance, Quattro permanent four-wheel drive, a distinctive radiator grille, stainless steel underbody guards and roof rails. The A4 allroad quattro was made available in early summer 2009. [40] The car was unveiled in 2009 Geneva Motor Show. [41]
At the Paris Motor Show in 2010, Audi presented the quattro concept on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the original Audi Quattro and the Audi quattro four-wheel-drive system. Based on the RS5 , it features a modified 2.5 L five-cylinder TFSI engine shared with the TT and a 6-speed manual transmission from the S4 .
The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car, [2] [3] which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. [2] It was introduced by the German car manufacturer Audi AG in 2006. Production ended in the first quarter of 2024.
