    For reference, the Glock 17 is 4.49 inches and the Glock 34 barrel is 5.43 inches. Slide is cut out at the top as that is how Glock saw fit to lighten the slide. This longer barrel has a certain novelty value, but truly, it allows for accurate longer distance shooting and adds a little to the velocity.
