12 posts · Joined 2009. #1 · Feb 9, 2009. I recently purchased an M&P 9mm. I have been teaching my girlfriend to shoot, and she was learning on my Walther P22, my 1911, a friends Glock, and my XDm. After showing a reasonable amount of proficiency, I decided to buy her very own gun for her. She is 4'10" and has pretty small mitts, and after ...

I'll be quick to say I haven't tried the M&P, but right now see no reason to. I read many reviews of the XD (m) before purchase and my LGS also highly recommended it. Just my 2 cents. RVN 1967-68, 1st Engr Bn, 1st Inf Div. XD (m) 5.25 9mm. XD (m) 3.8 9mm. Ruger GP100 6" barrel. Ruger Single Six (old model) Ruger LC9.

  4. Quick comparison, 9mm XDs 3.3 and S&W M&P Shield

Quick comparison on the S&W M&P 9mm and the XDs 3.3 9mm -. I shot my new XDs yesterday, only about 10 rounds. I used the 7 round magazine only. No failure to load/fire, but everything is of course a bit stiff, especially the magazine release. I did not have both guns with me yesterday, so cannot do a direct comparison.

Adjusting (or changing) sights on XD9. As a fairly new XD9 user, I have a bit of a problem. Since all of us together are sure to be smarter than me alone, hopefully someone can come up with some help here. My XD9 is accurate at 25' (mostly 8's, 9's some 10's), shoots somewhat low and right @ 50' (mostly outer ring) and basically totally misses ...

Yes it is a 3" barrel but depending on what holster you but getting one for a 4" may be an advantage when you buy the XD 45 Compact for your next gun. I have an XD .40 SC and it is my secondary carry. Not having shot or carried the S&W, I can't compare the two in that respect. I have held the S&W and it didn't "fit" my ...

  10. 9mm FMJ vs 9mm MC? - Springfield XD Forum

    www.xdtalk.com/threads/9mm-fmj-vs-9mm-mc.89808

MC has a fully coated bullet. FMJ has an exposed lead base. That'd be incorrect. MC and FMJ are the same thing. FMJ and MC both have lead exposed at the base. MC= metal case. FMJ= full metal jacket [which is a misleading term] FMC= full metal case [a term that's rarely used] TMJ= total metal jacket which does cover the exposed lead on the ...
