The Town [1] of Clayton is located in Polk County, Wisconsin, United States.The population was reported as 958 in 2020 according to the 2020 US census. The Village of Clayton is distinct and contains its own leadership but shares the same school district (Clayton School District) as the town.
The building served as a courthouse until 1975. [2] It is now operated as the Polk County Museum by the Polk County Historical Society. The museum's exhibits include historic room displays, antique tools, farming equipment, toys and dolls, clothing, furniture, ceramic and glass ware items, household artifacts, and other exhibits about area history and culture.
Located in northwestern Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Polk County and most of Burnett County.
