   I too am having a problem with The Weather Channel either not working or closing immediately upon opening. I have already tried clearing the Store browser and the app troubleshooter, uninstalling, reinstalling. It all started with the November Windows 10 update.

   I uninstalled the Weather Channel app because my profile showed too many cities on list. I went to the app screen and uninstalled the Weather Channel, but Windows store shows it's still installed. Control panel program list shows it is not installed. How can I re-download a fresh copy of the Weather Channel.

   But there is no Weather Channel app that comes with Windows 10 unless it was installed by your PC manufacturer. I don't even find a Weather Channel app for Windows in the Microsoft Store app to help you install. You can go into the Microsoft Store app in Start Menu, type Weather in it's search box to browse through the apps that are available.

   Per your description, you want the weather to update based on your current geographical location. As far as I know, the Weather web part requires to manually input the location. I'm afraid there is no other built-in feature which can meet your requirement. Sorry for the inconvenience.
