Take a good look at a RNN14 Pulsar GTiR, note the differences, and install all of the parts. I spent a month researching this and found it possible so long as you have: complete GTiR rear subframe and all attached parts, driveshaft, gas tank ( fits in B13 place, has tunnel for shaft), a plasma cutter or sawzall, welding skills , and a GTiR trunk pan.
I live in Malaysia and I bought a brand new Nissan Sentra ( automatic trans) . I got my car about 3 weeks ago and have done about 2000 miles on it. 2 weeks back when the car was just after break in period, I started to feel some vibrations and experienced other problems. Hope your experience helps in answering these. 1.
awd tranny in 2wd sentra ok i hear everyone going crazy to go awd but what about using an awd tranny in my 2wd b14 sentra. i stripped off the transfer box and mounted with a slight mod to the casing and using the auto tranny sub axles which worked after a tad bit of fabrication again and also the rear mount got stater issues though wanted to ...
In order to get an awd DET to fit into a rear wheel drive, you would have to do alot of cutting and welding, and in my opinion its not possible, that is unless you have massive massive massive massive massive amounts of money to spend, so if you drive a rwd nissan, go with the DET from a Silvia, and if you own a sentra ser to with the GTiR or ...
I've Nissan Sentra 2014 1.6 cvt 170k kms [105k miles] driven. I've had an issue with cvt while accelerating from full stop, a jerking at around 20kmph which feels like clutch is disengaged for a second and then suddenly reengaged . When I took it to nissan they advised cvt fluid flush &change and luckily the issue was resolved.
Hi - new to the Nissan forums and I'm working on a coworkers 1996 Nissan Sentra. Both front CV axles have torn boots, so I plan on replacing both of these. I'm pretty comfortable working on cars and have all the tools I need including air tools. I haven't worked on Nissans before though and had a question about pulling the axles.
FYI, there is a B14 200SX, which is front wheel drive and is essentially a 2-door Sentra. That's different than the S14 and earlier models of the 200SX that were always rear wheel drive. Why Nissan did this is anybody's guess?! There is a different section on these forums for those earlier models.
There is a Nissan TSB for clicking under accel/take-off. But, it only spans '10-'12 Sentra model years ... but also spans 8 other Nissan models with varying years. So, not sure if they will agree to or decline under the warranty. CVTs are an expansive and known issue, and Nissan has call #s established for the techs at the dealerships.
Yeah, at first the high hp cars all zoom away from you, but you'll find, you'll gain on them. You'll make up time in every corner, and before the guy in his 350z or mazda miata knows it, you'll be right on their bumper. The car just loves it. Its like "The little car that could." It is genuinely the most fun I've had behind the wheel of a car ever.
