Tobias Jens Forge (Swedish pronunciation: [tʊˈbǐːas ˈjɛns ˈfɔ̌rːɡɛ]; [1] born March 3, 1981) is a Swedish musician. He is the frontman, leader and primary songwriter of the masked rock band Ghost, performing live as their vocalist under the stage names Papa Emeritus and Cardinal Copia.
Ghost is a Swedish rock band known for combining costumed theatricality, heavy metal, and arena rock. [1] Formed in Linköping in 2006, [2] [3] the band released their debut album, Opus Eponymous in 2010, [1] which earned them international recognition. [4]
On March 12, 2013, Ghost began providing fans with a free streaming of "Year Zero" if they promoted the band on Facebook, by endorsing its frontman to be elected the next Pope of the Catholic Church. [2] The 10" vinyl version of the single includes the B-side "Orez Raey", which as the title suggests is the A-side played backward.
