The simple answer is no. Dentistry as a career is not worth the debt service (600K) you will be chained with for most of your earning life. I work Corp now PT. Mostly low income patients. Most of the young dentists that work at my Corp are foreign trained and/or went to an expensive DS like NYU to get their dental license.

Rutgers. Today I was accepted to 6 dental school programs!!! I still have a post-dec interview with Columbia in late January. Anyways, I am torn between Rutgers and NYU. I unexpectedly got a $20,000 a year scholarship to NYU and I am super humbled & grateful to have received that.
Now, nyu dental school is boring me to death with their childish education. More than 3/4 of the lecture materials are garbage. NYU dental school surely knows how to over-charge students and throwing at the students with a trashy education. Many professors at NYU dental school are boring and uneducated.

Candidate days haven't begun yet, so all we can do is speculate about what it means for acceptance. The itinerary that was emailed to me was as follows: 9:45am - Check In. 10:00am - Welcome & Introductions. 10:15am - NYU Dentistry Difference (Presentation) 11:00am - Campus Tour. 12:00pm - Lunch with Faculty.
