I would like to completely wipe clean my hard drive and then reinstall OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan (it is my understanding that MacOS Sierra will not run on my machine). I would then like to restore from my backup, some of the programs that are currently on the hard drive without dragging any of the other unwanted stuff along.
