Southport is a 2,400,000-square-foot (220,000 m 2) mixed-use development that began in 1999, located on 32.2 acres (13.0 ha) along Lake Washington in Renton, Washington. [1] [2] [3] The property was formerly the site of a Puget Sound Energy steam plant which was demolished in 2001, and construction on the residential phase of Southport began later that year.
