El Paso Community College (EPCC) is a community college in El Paso, Texas. EPCC operates five campuses in the El Paso area, as well as courses offered at nearby Fort Bliss . As defined by the Texas Legislature , the official service area of EPCC is all of El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas .
EPCC was established in 1990, following on from the earlier Edinburgh Concurrent Supercomputer Project and chaired by Jeffery Collins from 1991. [4] From 2002 to 2016 EPCC was part of the University's School of Physics & Astronomy, becoming an independent Centre of Excellence within the University's College of Science and Engineering in August 2016.
Transmountain Early College High School, commonly referred to as TMECHS, is the Early College High School for the El Paso Independent School District. [2] TMECHS participates in the STEM School program, and through collaboration with EPCC, allows students to take courses at its Transmountain Campus and receive an Associate degree before their high school graduation.

Dual credit classes are offered through EPISD's partnership with the El Paso Community College (EPCC) in English IV, geology, chemistry and US history. Students are eligible to participate in the EPCC dual credit program if they meet all EPCC requirements and pass the subject area ACCUPLACER test for the course they wish to take.
