"Suddenly" is a duet performed by Olivia Newton-John and Cliff Richard from the soundtrack Xanadu, and is the love theme from the 1980 film of the same name. It was written and produced by John Farrar. "Suddenly" reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1980 and number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in January 1981. [3]
Just the Two of Us features two of Newton-John's frequent singing partners, Cliff Richard (left) and John Travolta (right). Just the Two of Us , which already was in development before Newton-John's death, is intended to be a collection of duets recorded by the singer in the span 43 years, from 1979 to 2022 – the last year of her life.
The Newton-John side also featured Cliff Richard, the Tubes and Gene Kelly. At the time of the album's release, Olivia Newton-John was signed to MCA Records , while ELO were signed to Jet Records . A compromise was worked out between the two companies in that the album was released on MCA in the US and Canada, and on Jet in the rest of the world.
The second single, "Had to Be", a duet with Olivia Newton-John, reached number 22. The third single, "The Wedding", a duet with Helen Hobson, reached number 40. "The Wedding" is a retitle of the album track "I Do Not Love You Isabella (Heathcliff's Wedding Song)" which features Richard in duet with Olivia Newton-John and Kristina Nichols.

The song was composed in 1982 by Foster, Jeremy Lubbock and Richard Marx. It has since been recorded by numerous artists, the most notable being Olivia Newton-John, whom Foster chose as his duet partner when he re-recorded the track in 1986, and Cliff Richard, who chose it for his 100th single milestone in 1989.
