The Remington Springboard Mile is a Listed American Thoroughbred horse race for two-year-olds over a distance of one mile on the dirt run annually in December at Remington Park located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After peaking in 2019 with a purse of $400,000, the purse was reduced to $200,000 in 2020.
Remington Park is a horse racing track and casino located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Built in 1988 by Edward J. DeBartolo Sr. , it was the first world-class pari-mutuel track in Oklahoma. Since 2010, Global Gaming RP has owned and operated the racing facility.
With the introduction of the casino at Remington Park in 2006, stakes increased. The administration in 2009 reverted the race back to dirt at the current distance of 1 + 1 ⁄ 16 miles and scheduled the race in the fall. [1] In 2018 the event was upgraded to a Grade III to be the second event with such a classification at Remington Park. [2]

The inaugural running of the event was on 18 March 1989 as the Remington Park Derby held over the 1 + 1 ⁄ 16 miles distance and was won by the Oklahoma bred Clever Trevor in a time 1:43.00. [2] Clever Trevor would later win the Grade I Arlington Classic and Remington Park would have a Black Type Stakes named after him.
