Denver is located in northeastern Lancaster County at (40.233859, -76.137088 It is bordered to the southeast by Reamstown and to the southwest by Stevens. Interstate 76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, passes through the northern side of the borough, with the closest access 3 miles (5 km) to the east at Exit 286 (U.S. Route 222).

West Cocalico is the northernmost township in Lancaster County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 27.6 square miles (71.6 km 2), of which 27.6 square miles (71.4 km 2) are land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km 2), or 0.18%, are water.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 28.9 square miles (75 km 2), of which 23.9 square miles (62 km 2) is land and 5.0 square miles (13 km 2) (17.36%) is water. It includes the communities of Liberty Square, Chestnut Level, Fernglen, Drumore , Furniss, and Fairfield, and parts of the communities of Buck and Henzel.
