Hawthorn Middle School North - Opened in 1975 and originally housing Grades 6–8. From 1999 to 2005 it was known as Hawthorn Middle School and educated grades 5–6. Prior to that, it was known as Hawthorn Junior High School and housed grades 7–8, with 6th graders attending Half Day Middle School in unincorporated Prairie View.
At the Incarnate Word High School San Antonio, Texas classes run on a modular schedule. Each day is broken down into 17 time-periods called "mods." Mods are 20 minutes long, except the lunch mods, which are 26 minutes. The schedule is on a two-week cycle. There are no bells between mods, and students are responsible for arriving to classes on time.
Providence Elementary School serves most of Denton ISD Cross Roads, [8] while a section is zoned to Cross Oaks Elementary School. [9] All of the Denton ISD portion is zoned to Rodriguez Middle School, [10] and Braswell High School. [11] The majority of Denton County, Cross Roads included, is in the boundary of North Central Texas College. [12]
Almost all of Pleasanton is located within the Pleasanton Independent School District and home to the Pleasanton High School Eagles. In the school year 2010–2011, Pleasanton I.S.D. received Academically Unacceptable ratings from the Texas Education Agency for their high school campus and their school of choice.
