St Gregory's Catholic School (often shortened to St Greg's) is an 11–18 mixed, Roman Catholic, secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. It was established in 1966 and is part of the Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark.
In 2011 the school formed a soft federation with St Mark's CofE School in Larkhall, with St Gregory's former headteacher, Raymond Friel, being appointed as executive headteacher in charge of both schools. St Gregory's College has a strong reputation in sport. St Gregory's is known for its success in Water Polo, cricket and in the last millennium, soccer. In 2008 the First XI winning the MCS competition, 2007 Australasian Marist Carnival and joint premiers in the Combined Catholic College's Downey Trophy, with 22 wins and 0 losses all season.
All Saints Catholic College was formed as a Comprehensive school in 1973 with the merger of St. Gregory's RC Grammar school and St. Augustine's RC Secondary Modern school, which had previously existed on the same site. In 2006, it achieved specialist Humanities College status.
Students entering Year Eleven are usually aged fifteen between 14.5 and 16, [1] but there is no minimum age. Year 11 pupils are educated in Secondary schools or in Area schools. [2] Year 11 was previously known as the 5th Form and for most students they are studying for NCEA Level 1 which equates to what was previously known as School Certificate.
