Elizabeth McCarty Storke was the mistress of Stratford until her death in 1879. Storke left the house to her great-nephews, Charles and Richard Stuart. Lee's maternal Grandfather died one year before Robert Lee was born. Also this gives me question as to how Robert came by his middle name of Edward?
