Thomas Anthony Ryan (1941 – 13 March 2023) was an Irish hurler. At club level he played with Killenaule , Éire Óg, Nenagh , Éire Óg, Ennis , Liam Mellows and James Stephens , while at inter-county level he lined out with Tipperary , Clare and Galway .
Tommy Ryan was an Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Thurles Sarsfields and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team in the 1940s and 1950s. He won three All Ireland Senior hurling titles with Tipperary, starting in the half forward position in the 1949 final against Laois .
The final was played on 13 October 1974 at Semple Stadium in Thurles, between Thurles Sarsfields and Silvermines, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Thurles Sarsfields won the match by 3–06 to 1–10 to claim their 28th championship title overall and a first title in nine years .
