Nuggehalli Pankaja (born 2 June 1929) is an Indian writer and poet in the Kannada and English languages. She is considered one of the notable writers in the Kannada language. Pratibha Nandakumar (born 25 January 1955) is an Indian poet, journalist, feminist, columnist and activist who works in Kannada and English. [1] [2] She is considered as one of the pioneers of modern woman's poetry in Kannada literature. [3] For her work Kavadeyaata, Pratibha was awarded the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry in 1998.
Her first poetry collection, Shakuntalopakhyana was published in 1988. Some of her selected poems have been printed in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Telugu and Marathi languages [vague], and in 2005, some were set to music by a Kannada composer C. Ashwath. She has translated books from other languages into Kannada.

Vaidehi is one of the most successful women writers in the language and a recipient of prestigious national and state-level literary awards.
