Hi Id gone up from 10mg to 20mg of antri for about amonth didnt help me at all. It took me about 2weeks with the side effects to get it back out has it says what goes in must come out the same way. Hope you got off it ok. Im on 10mg now trying to reduce it side effects for me have been orfull x Please let me know how you got on x
The only other side effects with Amitriptyline I had was some constipation, but I just changed my diet added some extra fiber and lots of fluids. For me I feel it did help, and now I am almost 100%, but on occasion the symptoms come back very mildly and for a short time.

Yes it will be Amitriptyline anticholinergic effects you have experienced. If you read back on a blog i started many months ago you will see i did the same i went from 10 mg to 5 mg then on day 3 awful pain, nausea anxiety, went back to 10 mg and it took me days to get better.
Amitriptyline does have the side effects that u have mentioned. I found that I had involuntary body jerking, dizziness , and a symptom I refer to as brain fog - not feeling quite with it. You will find that as your body gets used to the amitriptyline the symptoms will gradually disappear.
