The Force Concept Inventory is a test measuring mastery of concepts commonly taught in a first semester of physics developed by Hestenes, Halloun, Wells, and Swackhamer (1985). It was the first such " concept inventory " and several others have been developed since for a variety of topics.

The National Achievement Test (NAT) is a standardized set of examinations taken in the Philippines by students in Grades 3,6,10 to 12. The test is designed to determine their academic levels, strengths and weaknesses, as well as their knowledge learnt in major subjects throughout the year.
The exam is three hours and is conducted only in English. It includes 60 questions, as follows: 30 multiple choice questions (MCQ - involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each), 10 multiple select questions (MSQ) and 20 numerical answer type (NAT) questions. Total marks are 100, 50 for MCQ, 20 for MSQ and 30 for NAT.
