Sajha Yatayat (Nepali: साझा यातायात) is a public transportation bus system in Nepal serving the capital city of Kathmandu as well as its surrounding valley. Popularly known as Sajha Bus mainly runs bus routes throughout Kathmandu and Lalitpur city.
The line began as a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) freight railway in 1937, and subsequently became a passenger railway. It closed in 2014 to allow it to be converted to 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge, and reopened in 2022. At that time it was the only operational passenger railway line in Nepal. [5]
