The station was established by Rajah Broadcasting Network in 1987 as RJFM.At that time, it aired an album rock format. In 1996, it changed its name to Boss Radio.In the middle of 2003, UMBN took over the station's operations and rebranded the station as 100.3 Oldies Radio with an oldies format, ranging from the 50s, 60s & some 70s.
In 1990, it adopted the RJFM brand and switched to an album rock format. In 1996, it transferred to 98.3 MHz and changed its name to Boss Radio. In 2000, it rebranded as The Hive and switched to a modern rock format. In 2003, it became a relay station of RJ 100. In July 2009, it transferred its transmitter facilities to Casa Plaza Bldg.
RJAM and RJFM's programs were also aired on the new channel. During its initial run, RJDigiTV operated 24/7. Originally scheduled in July 2018, RJTV relaunched on January 3, 2019, with the first 2 subchannels, the main RJTV channel and Oras ng Himala channel, and later, the TeleRadyo channels of their sister radio stations DZRJ-AM and DZRJ-FM.
