The Charlatans (often referred to as The Charlatans UK in the United States) are an English rock band formed in Birmingham, West Midlands in 1988. [1] As of 2000, the band’s line-up consists of lead vocalist Tim Burgess , guitarist Mark Collins , bassist Martin Blunt, and keyboardist Tony Rogers.

He began his music career in 1986 as guitarist with The Waltones, indie pop band based in Manchester.
