The Rangsit Campus is situated in the TU's Rangsit Center, approximately 42 kilometers north of Bangkok, just next to the Asian Institute of Technology and Thailand Science Park. The center served as the main host for the 13th Asian Games in 1998 and the World University Games in 2007.

AIT was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, before it moved to its present campus in November 1973. Currently, it is located in the Rangsit area next to Thammasat University (Rangsit Campus), about 65 kilometers from the Suvarnabhumi Airport. AIT has a remote campus called AIT Center in Vietnam.
Medical education in Thailand was pioneered by King Chulalongkorn, who founded the country's first medical school called the "School of Medical Practitioners" at Siriraj Hospital in 1889, now the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. There are now 23 institutions offering medical programs nationwide, most of them public.
Also on the campus are the Bangkok University Stadium, home stadium of Bangkok University FC, Thailand Premier League 2006 champions, the Surat Osathanugrah Library, and Pongtip Osathanugrah Communication Arts Complex. The BU Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum, an important archaeological research facility, is on the Rangsit campus.
