Locally born architect Edward Lapidge both designed and donated the land for a church, St John's Hampton Wick, built in 1831. Hampton Wick is a Thamesside area of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England, contiguous with Teddington, Kingston upon Thames and Bushy Park. Market gardening continued until well into the twentieth century.
Bushy Park in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is the second largest of London's Royal Parks, at 445 hectares (1,100 acres) in area, after Richmond Park. [1] The park, most of which is open to the public, is immediately north of Hampton Court Palace and Hampton Court Park and is a few minutes' walk from the west side of Kingston Bridge.

Manor Garden Allotments were allotment gardens occupying 4.5 acres (18,000 m 2) between the River Lea and the Channelsea River in Hackney Wick, London, England. They are also sometimes referred to as Eastway Allotments , particularly in the 2012 Summer Olympics planning application documents.
The Subsistence Homesteads Division of the Interior Department, a program of the New Deal, developed Houston Gardens for the purpose of giving poor and landless people the opportunity to become homeowners. Houston Gardens was the only such community developed in Greater Houston. [1] The City of Houston annexed it in the 1940s. [2]
The park also has facilities for tennis, softball, swimming, track, croquet, volleyball, skating, cycling, and a running course (2.93 miles (4.72 km)). Very popular with Houston joggers, the running course is the Seymour Lieberman Exercise Trail, a crushed granite pathway that sees almost 3 million visits annually. [4]
One of Houston's oldest public parks, Hermann Park was created on acreage donated to the City of Houston by cattleman, oilman and philanthropist George H. Hermann (1843–1914). The land was formerly the site of his sawmill. [7] It was first envisioned as part of a comprehensive urban planning effort by the city of Houston in the early 1910s. [4]
Bushy House is a Grade II* listed [1] former residence of King William IV and Queen Adelaide in Teddington, London, which George Montagu, 1st Earl of Halifax had constructed for his own enjoyment on the site of a previous house Upper Lodge, Bushy Park, between 1714 and 1715.
