A Night to Remember is a 1955 non-fiction book by Walter Lord that tells the story of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. The book was hugely successful, and is still considered a definitive resource about the Titanic. Lord interviewed 63 survivors of the disaster and drew on books, memoirs, and articles that they had written.

His first novel, I Do Remember The Fall (1977), was nominated for the Books in Canada First Novel Award. This book was followed by two novels from Black Moss Press followed: The More Loving One and The Ruined Season. Kelly's third novel A Dream Like Mine (1987) won the Governor General's Award for fiction and was made into the movie Clearcut.
